little-scientist-awardLittle Scientists: National Geographic kits from Laser Pegs

The National Geographic sets from Laser Pegs show a few famous historical items in a new light. Kids can now build their own spaceships, dinosaurs and pyramids using the specialized light-up pegs. The prices for each kit range from $24.99 to $79.99, and they will be in stores starting in August this year.

Finalists also included Oregon Scientific’s SmartGlobe Star — an interactive constellation globe for kids to learn about the stars — and Uncle Milton’s Star Wars Mini-Kits that can help kids learn the properties of snow, lava and slime.

Why kids love National Geographic Space: Laser Pegs, like LEGO sets, offers kids a chance for creative expression while also emphasizing building acumen. Ensuring smooth connections between light-up Laser Pegs, in particular, shows how to complete circuits from power to light brick. And let’s be honest, turning out the lights to see your creation shine is just plain cool!

    Very nice set.

My kids LOVE this kit! Both of my boys, 6 year old twins, are very intrigued with the universe. They love rockets and space ships and aliens. I saw this kit and knew it would be perfect for them. I brought it home and my kids immediately jumped off the couch and ran over to the table. They play with it constantly, making things from the manuals or creating their own space ships. They are also able to use lego pieces from other sets! When it’s time to go to bed, they place it on the dresser and use it as a night light. They put down Laser Pegs as #1 on their Christmas list. I highly recommend Laser Pegs and their high-quality products.

My kid adores this kit! He just cant get his hands off. He doesn’t realize how much he is learning while playing. Highly recommended for everyone, one of my personal favorite. He plays with his friends all day. Thanks a ton.
